A Baby Boomer, Kevin Ferguson was born in 1951.  He grew up in the same geographical area and time as the principals in Isabella attending New Britain schools from kindergarten through high school and later, Central Connecticut Teacher's College. His knowledge of the area and its citizenry gave him insight into his search for answers concerning the Isabella Stewart Gardner heist. During a period of insomnia, he finished a Yankee Magazine article that he found on the internet about the heist, an article that he had partially read years before in a doctor's waiting room. What caught his interest was the opinion of a private detective named Charles Moore. Moore believed that the perpetrators of the Gardner robbery were not from Boston. The more Kevin read about the Gardner robbery, the more he agreed. Everyone was quick to credit local mobsters for the theft, and this theory persists, but if they were involved, information would have quickly turned up because Boston was rife with police informants at the time. During his investigation, he discovered that Boston's career criminals referred to stealing art-works as plea deal insurance so he began a search for criminals who were under indictment or investigation at the time of the robbery.

One night his eyes froze on the computer screen.

"You must be kidding!"

After a forty-year career in construction and entering his golden years, Kevin began an eight-year investigation into the robbery. A laptop is lighter than most power tools and weather is rarely an issue.
